|It's not too late to backtrack on trams|

The letters page of the Edinburgh Evening News for 10 October featured two letters which may be of interest:
One from the Chair of the Leith Links Residents Association bemoans the multiplicity of works being undertaken simultaneously, making it difficult to access services, and calling on 'the powers that be' to employ some joined-up planning.
The other, suggests that as the enormity of the impact of installing the tram line through the Edinburgh streets is making itself felt, whether there is merit in paying the penalties and cancelling the remainder of the project.
