Independent shops in Leith were given a boost in an article published in The List on 16 April: Independent Shopping Guide: Edinburgh - Leith and Broughton Street The upbeat article refers to Leith's 'gritty charm' and promotes the area as a fertile ground for independent businesses owing its 'vibrancy to a strong sense of community'. Particular mention is made of World of Pine and Crawford's for furniture bargains, Broughton Street Bookshop for second-hand books and Elvis Shakespeare and Vinyl Villains for books and records. Royal Artizana also gets a mention. David Griffin of Elvis Shakespeare is also interviewed. |
