Writing in the Herald Scotland on 26 October, Robert McNeil enthuses about the appeal of Leith: reminiscing about a childhood spent in Leith, the author describes it as 'cosmopolitan' and 'earthy' while poking gentle fun at the hierarchy of what actually constitutes being part of Leith. Nevertheless, he conculdes that arriving at the top of Leith Walk, 'the sky changes, the atmosphere hugs me and I feel that I’m back home, eh'. |
